finishing in doorway
Hi tilers
I'm tiling the hallway. The rooms off it are carpeted but not finished in the doorways – the carpeter left a 'tongue' sticking into hallway to be finished when the hall was tiled. My question: in order not to see the door bar when the door is shut where do I finish the tiles? At the door stop or right under the door?

Usually halfway in the door jamb.

halfway between front of casing and door rebate for me.

I prefer to finish halfway across the threshold with a square edge trim so the carpet can but up to it......

half way under door ......so when door is shut the flooring from each room stays the same (no carpet showing in the hall and no tiles showing in the lounge)

Re: finishing in doorway
Thank you all, I'm going to go for halfway under the door, allowing space for the bar. Obliged to all who replied.
