Hi I am having my bathroom re-tiled and would like the black quartz tiles but am confused. An online suppler do not recommend underfloor heating with their tile, however a local company have said there would be no problem with laying them on underfloor heating. Does anyone have any advice please? Many thanks

Sorry to tell you I would listen to the first supplier, because there certainly does seem to be a problem with this composite tile and the underfloor heating, particularly the resin based ones. There is an influx of chinese imports at the moment and if you look through previous posts many people have had problems with them.

I am sure there will be more responses later to your query, for now keep your money in your pocket.

Pebbs is correct. These resin based tiles can curl up at the corners when laid on under floor heating. i havent seen it myself but have seen it reported. My local stockist will not guarantee them if used on underfloor heating.

Just to add that its not just Underfloor heating but I believe I have seen a report somewhere about laying these tiles in Conservatories too due to rapid changes in tempretures.

Local company... Only one online i know of that recommends the use of these tiles over heating..
