    Default Floor access hatch

    Hi

I have a boiler which has an overflow pipe that goes under the suspended timber ground floor in the kitchen (ridiculous I know). The floor has ceramic tiles down at the moment and I am fairly certain that there is an access hatch in the timber boards below. I know I am going to have to take up the tiles so I can check on the pipework and I was thinking for ease of access that when I put the tiling back down it would be prudent to install an access hatch.

Does anyone know of one that would be suitable for a domestic suspended timber floor with ceramic tile finish?

    Thanks in advance.

    A

you could just replace the grout with silicone in the are of the hatch and when you need access just cut out the silicone

You can match silicone to grout colour so it will blend in
