Lift one and weigh it then x it by the amount of tiles. Alternatively lift them, stick em in the boot and chuck them in a skip at a waste disposal site Its free.

Why do you need specialst waste disposal? As Diamond says, put them through normal household waste?

Are they asbestos? I must have removed thousands of metres of them over the last 20 plus years.

They do contain asbestos, but it is encapsulated within the tile material and does not create a dust when lifted up (or broken). Only creates a dust if drilled or sanded. Taken 1000's to the local tip and chuck them in the rubble skip no problem at all

My tip will take asbestos anyway, you have to just double wrap it in plastic sheeting, and give them pre warning your coming, I've never taken anything though, I have a sort of rule that if it cant go in a bin bag i dont fancy breaking it up

    Lightbulb Re: Marley Thermoplastic tiles

IT by any chance you lift the tiles useing a heater, then you will hear the asbestous start to crack, the tiles become flexable the vinyl in them become sof this way when they were layed they bedded into the subfloor, or as we use to say over the humps and bumps, anyway just becarefull with them
