I saw that too Russ
In fact, the other day when I logged on to my laptop, I went to my normal browser home page and left it for a little while, and when I came back it didn't look exactly like the normal browser page I see. So I clicked Home and it took me to the browser page I normally see. I'm always suspicious if it doesn't look exactly right![]()

Sadly you need to be suspicious with the Web nowadays!!!![]()

I've just thought of the perfect way to protect yourself against this.
Allow your internet browser to remember your passwords. This then works off the URL and not the submission box. And as you're not typing anything in anywhere nothing can be key-logged. If it is just the fact that the websites look the same (or similar, I think I'd spot it still even flicking back to an old tab) but your password doesn't automatically get filled in you it'll give you a reminder to check the URL.
I always always always check the URL's of links before I click them in emails etc. Asyou hover the mouse over the link it should tell you what the URL is.
I often find like http://ebay.h5fji.com which is actually a sub domain of h5fji.com.... so you need to be always checking the bit before the .com.
I think it's pretty much the same as this really. Always check the URL and it's the bit before the .com, along with the https:// - notice the S which stands for secure. I doubt phishers will have too many SSL Certificates in action.

Blinking heck, it's a jungle out there..I never liked my pc remembering passwords etc, thought that would be less safe? Very confusing...I always have loads of tabs open,..though not many need passwords... thanks SO MUCH Russell, hadn't heard of this, I'll make sure with the banking tabs... god, scary...

For those that read TF and open ALL the unread threads since the last visit. Hmmmm scary![]()
