    Default glazed porcelain

    hi all
i have some glazed porcelain floor tiles to lay tomorrow. i think they are 400mm by 150mm approx. my question is can i score and snap them or do i have to use my wet cutter. i did try one the other day but i did'nt know how much pressure to apply to snap the tile . i did'nt want to just give it lots of pressure in case i just broke the tile.
    thanks in advance.

i have 2 dry cutters, a small silver line cutter (which i tried) and i also have the big clinker which i think i'll try tomorrow. i think i just need to give it a good whack once i've scored it.
    thanks again.

    Hi,

Just to say I have the big clinker, it's my main cutter and will do the job no problem, just make sure you run the 1st inch backwards to start the line and then score from the beginning to the end, this ensures that the end of the tile opposite the break area snaps cleanly if you are scoring the tile along the length.
