in high traffic areas like kitchens, hallways etc.
if you use a light coloured grout it get stained from, bikes, dogs, rainwater on shoes etc.
if you do it grey from the start it looks better for longer, you will notice patchy white grout long before you notice patchy grey!!
dont forget it was not too long ago when grout came in two colours..grey for floors and white for walls!
IMO.

True about the white....but floors do look well with matching grouts...and as you know, the mapei ultra colour is hard wearing and an occasional clean keeps them like new...much nicer than boring old grey...
Some even put some glitter in it...

Re: Grouting
I would go for a cream/ivory colour, then seal the grout with a grout sealer to keep it clean

Yeah i've seen those, Mapei do them don't they although I seem to remember £12 a bag being mentioned to me... I wasn't really looking at the time just picked the bag up and said 'wooo' so i don't know if it was list price that was mentioned but seemed expensive for quite a small bag
