Discuss tile on to plasterboard in the Guest Area at TilersForums; is it safe to tile straight onto plaster board or do i need to get it plasted first, doing a shower . I will use waterproof adesive and grout...

    yes you can tile on plasterboard, use a primer on all surfaces before tiling

    plasterboard better surface to tile too than plaster......prime with balbond sbr watered down to ratio 1 part bond to 5 parts water............dave.......

    p.s. would recommend tanking shower area....bal WP1........

    Defo tank before tiling. Plasterboard is great for tiling onto. Addy sticks to it like **** to a blanket
