tile in motorhome
I am getting a different answer on every forum. I am really confused. I have a motor home with ceramic tile in it. I am wanting to remove the tile and replace it with granite or porcelain tile. I also want to tile more of the floor of the motor home including the steps. It is a 40 foot Monaco Dynasty on a Freight liner chassis. I would also like to do some tile work on the walls around the sinks as back splashes. I do not know what backer board, mortar and what grout to use. Which would be the better choice to go with granite or porcelain? Thank You for any help.

Re: tile in motorhome
i'm not sure this can be done due to the movement in the motorhome, but since you say you have ceramic tiling done and by the sound of it has remained in situ without any cracks or movement i would suggest using a 2-part flexible adhesive and a flexible grout

Re: tile in motorhome
And I would suggest checking that the chassis can cope with the extra weight of all the tiles. No good fixing them if you can't drive off afterwards!

Re: tile in motorhome
I agree, could easily be 3 time more weight .
