    Unhappy cutting limestone floor tiles

    What is the best option of cutting limestone tiles?
    Some have advised wet, but the tiles are very pourous and absort the water?
    Some have advised dry, I think i would been lots of diamond wheels and what a mess, Dust!

    Tiles are 60 x 40 cm limestome cream

    Please help!!!!

    'WET' -this way you will not chip the edges.

    The tiles will dry.
    If the limestone is very porous - 2 coats of seal before you touch them!
    Second thought 'as above' even if they are not very porous.
    Even skin grease can mark some un sealed limestone.

    But another question, If you seal the faces of the tiles would this cause problems with the addy adhering to the tile???

    Agreed, Wet Cut, and of course uponn being laid grouted and Dried SEAL!!!

    Mags - that is what I advised on post 2. With porous stone it is best to seal as you unpack from the crate - with clean hands and clean accessories.

    I always seal first saves getting adhesive or grease marks everywhere.
