    Hmmmmm... I just had a "plumber/tiler" remove old wash basin/pedestal, fit new one, BEFORE he'd done the tiling... I agree... I thought it would've been much better to just tile the wall then fit new basin... I'm starting to worry a bit about this guy's experience

    Not only does it mean less cutting but there is more room to tile and no chance of damaging the sanitaryware whilst tiling

    agree wholeheartedly too. a real pain trying to tile around basins/wcs/etc
