i was asked today to quote a job using granolithic tiles. i have been working as a iler for 6 years now, using all kinds of ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone, and i havn't heard of granolic tiles ?? but, i did a little reading up and it is basicly cement and stone chips usually marble That have been hydraulically pressed and pollished.
Can they be cut with ordinery tiling gear ? Any advice or coments ?

grano floors! suely thats just an abbrievation of granolithic. there is a type of granolithic flooring that is poured in like concrete, leveled out then polished with a machine. but there is also avaliable, granolithic tile wich is the same stuff, but hydraulically pressed into tiles.
Thanks for your comment Whitebeam, how hard?, as hard as a top of the range porcelain floor tile?
