Yes 3 times !!
2 torn cartilage and the 3rd was to investigate a ruptured cruciate ligament which I had to have repaired at a later date.
I've also had to have a complete bursectomy in my left knee.....all the bursa sacs removed to stop getting fluid on the knee.

I had my left knee, cartlidge and ligaments done just over 7 years ago, was off for a month.
Still get pain in my knee especially in the winter months.
Make sure you do the physio exercises as it will help you recover quicker
