Default conservatory floor insulating with undertile heating

Just been to view a job were an electrician has fitted undertile heating and not used any insulation board customer not very happy has anyone used acrylic thermal primer and how effective is it.

they are saying it add 2 degrees and saves 20% energy, it needs to be under the heating cable tho ??

How has he fixed id Gaz

can you tell me the name of this thermal accrylic primer and who supplies it as I have come across something similar before and it turned out to be just a primer so mat stuck to screed.
I always suggest client has an insulation board.
Otherwise you are heating up 65mm screed as well as tile/adhesive and that is very expensive.
Of course insulation board also acts as a separating membrane and helps avoid tiles cracking if screed does.

You could always roll it back up and install the insulation boards.....you wont be touching any connections the sparky made so no probs testing wise.....just make sure you check the mat now and again for continuity in case you nick it with your trowel....
