Default Level compound over Warm up mats

I have just had a new kitchen floor installed using floor boards over screed as old fired earth tiles were taken up. Have primed floor and laid Warm up UFH mats down. The question is do I require to lay a level compound over the top to protect the wire eg Cementone cempolay level compound from Travis Perkins, then lay flexi adhesive when laying tiles or not bother with a level compound?

Also if I do require level compound where can I purchase it from on a Sunday. I know B & Q sell unibond but this is not flexible.

Screeding is not always necessary over underfloor heating. Some manufacturers even recommend that you don't use it. I have screeded over in the past to help the tiler but you don't have to. Tiling straight onto the underfloor heating mat should be ok, just be carefull when tiling as to not catch any wires (resulting in a broken mat).

I always put a self leveller over underfloor heating mat. U could damage the wire with the notches on the trowel.
