Default Underfloor heating.

I laid a floor for a builder last week 5 sqm of travertine on a bathroom floor, well he phoned me today and said he forgot to tell me there should of been ufh. The travertine are 300x300 what i want to know could ufh cable be fitted into joints if they were cleaned out or will the cables be too far apart to heat anything up? There is only about 3sqm that needs it doing. I know it should come up but he ask me to ask you guys..

Yes it is the builders problem, but when the builder gives me £15,000 worth of tiling a year i try and help them out and not walk away from a problem, if it needs coming up then it will but im just seeing if it could be done.

The floor will have to come up, 300mm spacing is too far apart.

The maximum cable is normally around 100mm.

Don't forget that the tile adhesive & grout for UFH has to be flexible.

What a bugger!! Look I'm no nothing about UFH but it looks like it will have to come up Enduro m8. I know he is a good customer but suppling labour for free would be streching the friendship i think...............Hey! we all got bills to pay................. and mistakes cost money and you should not be out rent money if it was his fault.
