    Default Black Limestone Suppliers

    Hi

I'm looking to buy approx 50m2 of black limestone for an outside patio (is there any other type!!).

    Any suppliers you could recommend?

I've read some posts on here and it looks like once laid I should have them sealed before grouting. Does it matter if it rains on the patio after laying and before sealing as long as I let it dry out - sorry if this is a stupid question but rather ask it before a mistake than afterwards,

Any other advice (on choice of black limestone) welcomed as well

    cheers

    JimC

to the forum jimc. You could try Mandarin Stone, they do various types of darker limestones, I fitted one of their polished black limestones recently, and it was a good product with good calibration and finish. Hope that helps. www.mandarinstone.com

To add to that, I would keep them dry before sealing them if possible.

Take care with sealing... some sealers are not designed for use outside, check with manufacturer

thanks for the replies so far - i'm probably picking the wrong time of year to do this!!

Hope I haven't broken any rules asking about suppliers but isn't that what forums are about - there will be loads of experts on here who may know that a companies customer service is poor or their product substandard, likewise where a company has provided a good service others want to hear about it - as long as it doesn't get personal I don't see the issue. I note that the company I asked about has very positive scores on fleabay where customers can leave poor ratings if they want. This forums already given me some good pointers, things to ask my builder that I hadn't previous thought of - good to keep them on their toes
