    As th title says anybody know any good deals at the mo, need approx 50m2.

    Calibration not too important as the client is going for the Rustic look

    The room is a wine cellar concrete screed to be Slc'd was going to grout with sand & cement, does anybody still do this?

    only time i've grouted with sand and cement was an outside steps in heather browns. took days to clean them back like new

    Did you apply the mix wey or semi dry?

    Damp sawdust usally brings em up nice for me

    it was wet if i remember (was about 12 yrs ago) i've heard that tip about the sawdust but never needed to try it. i've grouted patio s with a dry mix then then a fine spray of water on it to start curing

    Tend to find with the dry mixes they need to be packed down or they drop into the joint when water is applied..

    yes i use it quite often always use it on slate use it as you would grout

    try sheera modular slate from tile giant, i was getting it for 13 per pack at .72m2 per pack, comes in a

    1 x 60x40
    2 x 40x40
    1 x 40x20
    2 x 20x20

    calibration not to bad for the price and u might need to dress a few corners but all in a nice stone to work with

    Thanks Wrighty, used the Indian black stuff a wee while ago out of TG £11-£13 some price eh?

    Screeded the floor this morning & the client had changed there tile choice ended up with a Terrarcotta coloured Keope porcelain, shame I was looking fwd to working with Slate.
