how bizzare, my wifes a nurse too and im a tiler! Funny that.

We dont want to go down under though but if we did the nurse route is the one that would get us in instead oy me sitting for NVQ's or similar!

I am a tiler and my Ex wife was the nurse. We got accepted by the Australian immigration due to them wanting my wifes skills yet when she got her job she was only working 14 hours a week + overtime. I was working 5 -7 days a week and could have chosen a number of companies wanting my skills. Ahhh Happy days.

My wife works in Pharmacy at the hospital.

    Does that count?

(I don't want to go to Australia. It's far too nice here, what with the weather, chavs, looming banking crisis etc...)

think its safe to say that there is alot of tilers out there that are, or have been with nurses so that says to me either you are all mad after nurses uniforms or nurses are obssessed with having things clean and tiles are easier to clean - wonder which it is........... Fitzers wife

i live in mildura, which is 500 km north of melbourne on the banks of the murray river and i have been working all year in broken hill ,300 km north from here.
there seems to be a perception in the uk that aust stops at the eastern capital cities, and perth, while a lot of country areas dont seem to get a second look.i live in a town of 40000 ,great lifestyle, cheap houses(400000 will buy 4 bed ,2 bath, nearly new with a pool)and 1000 new houses being built a year. this would be typical of many regional areas.Plus you get bonus immigration points for moving to regional areas. And i should mention australias best kept secret-adelaide-great beaches, climate ,almost affordable houses and plenty of work for tilers
