It would help if you said which state you were going to.
My advice is to google the Aussie papers for jobs.

Yeah understandable, would you promise to give someone you didnt know know a job knowing that he was the other side of the world ??

When i got my job in Melbourne I was already living there but had no problems getting a job, in fact I had a long list of offers.

I'll do the move one day myself, I swear. When the little one is young enough to still start a new school, I'll be there. Just need to convince the Mrs.

start the ball rolling soon dan because its getting harder by the day to get into australia as you are probably well aware. they are not stupid like the uk, theyve seen the warning signs and acted!! it is getting scary how the uk's is going. ruined economy, tiny island, getting overpopulated by the day....not being negative, just be real. the uk aint what it used to be is it?

If you are young enough to go on a Working Holiday Visa, then that would be the way to find an employer willing to sponsor you for an Employer Sponsored Visa. General Skilled Migration is becoming very difficult for trades people.

I agree m8 this ship called UK is sinking.... Iv just got my 176 visa and should be in Perth before Xmas. I was there last Xmas for holiday and every tradesman I met pomms and Ozzies all said get over here as they need most trades ASAP especially quality ones. I seen loads of construction sites but because of it being Xmas holidays most of them where quiet. One bloke I got speaking to at a BBQ had been there 17 yrs as a plumber, he said Oz companies want quality tradesman but wouldn't consider employing anyone from abroad untill they have a visa and are in Oz, then you have to show them how good and reliable you are....So roll on I can't wait, a lot of paperwork and money, but it will be worth it!Johnwww.newlandceramics.co.uk
