    It depends how old John. And tilers don't get old, they just lay (or get laid) less...

    Anyway the changes above are proposed for July 2012, while the new points test kicks in on 1 July 2011.

    an easier way would be ,come in via Christmas islland with the boat people
    then you get everything for free

    Australia needs all sort of trades people.

    I believe the new rules are more in response to all the rorting and scamming that went on under the old system, then adequately addressing the skills shortages.

    The emphasis is now very much on employer sponsored. The problem is of course finding an employer in the building industry, who is willing to wait 6 to 9 months for a visa to be processed.
