Hi, finally after months of filling in endless of forms and chatting on forums, we are on the home stretch. We are going for our medicals in two weeks and then everything is in and dusted and will we just wait for the outcome. We have not use a migration agent and have gone through the whole process by ourselves. If anyone needs some advice on the process, I am happy to help if I can. Just want to say thank you for some info I got here last year.

Hi Boesman, like yourself I have just managed, without the use of an agent, to launch my visa application before the 1st of July changes in the points system. I am now waiting to be contacted for the police and medical checks. Can I ask which type of visa you applied for and which state you intend to migrate? Keep me posted if you can of the outcome, and I wish you the best of luck.

Hi Boesman, I'm in the same boat at min I'm waiting for my 176 visa to be approved. Had meds & police checks done just waiting for my golden ticket...Where in Oz you going? Hi Nuddy, I've also had meds & police checks and we are now waiting for our 176 visa. I managed to apply in June with the old points system as now it seems a lot harder for tradesmen to get in to ozy.
We are, like yourself going to Perth, so I thought it maybe a good idea to keep in touch with regards the visa outcome, and also stay in touch once in Australia where we may be able to help each other. masterbuilders@hotmail.co.uk

Hi everyone, just a delayed update, i got my Visa a couple of weeks ago, been really busy getting removal quotes, house hunting, etc... and being really busy work wise.My missus is on the verge of securing a job in Perth with a recruitment company specialising in construction, so her 1st task is to get me a job! LolOverall still plenty to do but it's all very exciting cant wait!!

Hi all, time flies, got our visa in June and flights are booked for 12 January. So excited, but got so much work at the moment and so much to pay. Hope to find work asap after landing in Adelaide. Don't know a soul there yet, but that is all part of the adventure. We are packing in our tent just in case....
If by any chance anyone knows any builders or tilers out there, I'll be glad to have a chat with them once I am there (or before).
Let us know when the rest of you are moving there and where.
