Question for Jay and other Aussies
Hi guys, An internet builder friend of mine from Oz just sent to me two DVD's entitled "Building Better Businesses". It shows among other topics timber framing and ceramic tile methods in Australia. It's very interesting for me to watch this and see new things from Down Under.

One thing that was mentioned on the DVD was a product called (I think this is what the narrator said) Ultrabond. What I saw was a really wet cementitious product that was rolled over a slab with a paint roller once the old adhesive and other crap was scraped or ground off. This stuff looked about the consistency of pancake batter.
This looks like a great product to me and seems quicker and easier to use than some of our methods.
Do you guys recognize the name of the product that I am describing?

Thanks Jay, I don't think it looks like a primer-it's thick and runny and like batter. Let me know what you find out, it looks like a good product. Thanks for the link.

I can see from the bottles in your avatar that you were not expecting many guests - or is that what is left for the binman!

Have a good 2010.

Re: Question for Jay and other Aussies
Hi John, that was just one of several places that my brothers-in-law had beer stashed around this house. One had a twelve pack of "Heinken Light", but I made him keep that in the garage so it wouldn't be associated with all the real beer like the Stellas.

Re: Question for Jay and other Aussies
Have used it a few times.
Comes in handy for renovations and does save some time.
Only thing is the substrate must be sound to begin with .
Nowadays there plenty of glues around to do these sorts of jobs , just have to select the right one.
