got a call from overseas emigration today and they are expecting a change to the current visa regulations regarding 'pathway d'

they think they MAY? change the rule, were you need 900 hours endentured college/apprenticeship to gain access as a tiler.

if you can prove that you have worked for 20 hours per week as a tiler for 12 continuous months via tax returns/accounts and work/trade references and previous evidence of around 3 years working as a tiler via self employment or 'an informal apprenticeship, (ie no college but 3 years with a firm/tiler) then you will be able to apply...

i'll post up more as i get it. just thought id let you all know because i know alot of you want to look into tiling in aus.:thumbsup:

there will be dave..

they feel very confident that the rules will revert back to what they were prior to 01/09/07...the australian tra union has been up in arms since the change and they have put the pressure on...

the cut off age for applying is 44 because it will take around 12-15 months for the whole process to be finalised. australia are feeling the global recession too but not quite on the scale we are. they have the most stringent lending criteria in the world!! they have been a bit more careful than us, although the uk is now the 2nd most stringent country in the world regarding borrowing now..

at least there'll be sunshine, the outdoor life and snakes and spiders for dave!!

Hi ya tile burden mate , iam also looking to go to oz , but being 49 is holding me back , I have the quals and dam good at what i do in all forms of tiling and leving compouds ,nice to young I wish I was your age mate , by the way that TX is great eats porce

Maximum age is 44 but new a guy who,s wife got them in with her qualifications because he was a couple of years to old
