Default How To Get Into Australia???

Hi Guys, I am new to the forum and would appreciate any advice regarding getting into Aus as a tiler? I still need to train so any advice on this would be very welcome. Thanks!

Unless you are going with someone else who has a needed qualification that can get you both into Aus then I don't think you'll get in with no way of proving you are an experianced tiler.

well, i suppose you could go down to the travel agents on the monday and book the tickets. then go and have some lunch. in the afternnon you could buy you sun tan cream and maybe buy a few pairs of shorts.
day 2 to 4, you could do your tiling course and become a top notch fool proof tiler and after 4 days, no aussie would know the difference because after 4 days you should be amazing!! honestly, its a waste of time doing 4 weeks because they dont do nothing after the 4 days except tile different shapes?????????
on the saturday your tickets should be there for you to collect and off you pop, in aus by the following monday. lol

its not easy ,first of all 99% of tilers are apprentise trained and have served the full 4 years ,secondly you will have to know how to wet bed which they wont teach you on a tiling course and is essential . and you will have to be a compentant screeder as all the bathrooms have a waste in the floor area somewhere and about 75% of bathrooms have a wet area shower (very rare to see a shower tray in aus). the standard of tiling inaustralia is very high so to be honest it is going to be very tough to get your foot in the door, but good luck any way.

hmmmmmnn Ross I guess that LONG chat with me the otherday was just for a laugh then?

Have you ever done a longer course? If not how can you comment on it?

I think someone here is trying to poke a hornets nest and hoping for some kind of retaliation?

Grow up

the point i was making was at the 4 day course you **** rofl... they claim that its pointless doing 4 weeks as you just do the same thing and take 2 grand...i would do a 4 week course over a 4 day course every time. it makes sense that you will learn more in 4 weeks than 4 days. even a person like me who needs to grow up knows that. engage your brain before you open your mouth??

If I read it the wrong way I apologise, it was the way it came across.

If I thought this then maybe others will? Or maybe my brain has had to much sun as you so elequently put it.

This earlier post didn't help either
