Most of the larger builders will have an allowance for the tiling work and if they give you say 10 houses then they will want a discount rate but I wouldn't come below $35/m2 as the cost of addhesives is always on the rise down here and I won't resort to switching adhesive to cheaper less proven products to try and save a few bucks. Some fixers will and that's Ok they can have the call backs to worry about. If the tiles are porcelain or rectified edge large format my starting price for these is $55/m2 and it goes up from there.
I'm from Brisbane by the way............. where are you from? |
g`day mick
I`m in south australia,i have heaps of work at the moment,as i work for a builder i mostly do wet areas & the odd stick-down...i just wanted to know about what other state`s are working on as i have to ask for more money from my superviser and i just hit them up for an extra $1per sqm only 6 months ago but with EVERYTHING going up i asked again this week for another $1 per sqm rise,an then i felt (am i asking for to much)so i found this web site to put the question out....
wet areas:$39per sqm
stickdowns:$34per sqm straight layed or $42 on the 45
screeding:$18per sqm sand & cement supplyed
brick up bath:$110
and i get $3.00per sqm (floors only)allowance for using flexible glue

cheers
