TileSmasher could easily have halted any personal attacks, not that I've noticed any, by explaining the situation.
He never, even though he was online and reading the thread, as someone highlighted yesterday.
And being honest, if anyone posted a pic of a job like that, without explaining that it is not all their own work, I think they should expect criticism.
If we allowed a new
tiler to think work like that was of an acceptable standard, what good would we be doing him or the trade as a whole?
