Default 'In House Certificates'

I'm sorry but I have to say this....

I am absolutely fed up with people phoning our centre and asking for an NVQ, after they have attended a tiling course and told the 'in house' certificate they just spent £2000 on can sail them through it.

It's not the phone calls I am bothered about, infact I welcome them as you all know.

It's the fact that the person on the other end of the phone has had that much smoke blown up their backside, that they ARGUE that they are right and that they can get their NVQ, as PROMISED by the training centre that ROBBED them!!!

I have no doubt that the training they received is of a very good standard, but if it's NON ACCREDITED, it aint worth nothing towards getting your NVQ before 3 years.

Here are the facts:

To get your NVQ you choose one of the 3 routes:

1. Do your Intermediate Construction Award, and then do your NVQ2 immediately. (26 weeks)

2. Do a NON CITY & GUILDS ACCREDITED training course, get 3 years experience and then roll for your NVQ2. (OSAT)

3. Have a minimum of 5 years experience and go for the Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA) route. This takes 2-3 days to complete.

Keep Tiling, Keep Smiling (Rant Over! )
