Default Travertine ? - Domestic Kitchen floor tiles material

Thanks to all who replied to my last thread advising porcelain as the best option however..."she who must be obeyed" has spotted honed and filled travertine in topps tiles and on the net .... Any major pitfalls I should consider ? we have seen tremendous variaton in price from £15 sqM (buying direct on the web without seeing it) £30 Topps and up to £50+ at specialists all claiming to be top grade. I would like to do the job myself as economically as possible 20sqM but not at the expense of poor quality
