    Default Cutting to a Fall

    Hi Guys

Been reading something about cutting an envelope to a fall. Can anyone explain the method in detail please. Is this cutting used in shower trays wetrooms? Thanks

You seem to have the idea. Its basically so the water runs down into the shower outlet/drain. Enveloping means to cut from corner to corner diagonally, some times its doesnt work exactly corner to corner but if you view pictures of envelope cutting you will get the idea.

Best advice I could give you would be to mark the lines between the falls on the tray before you do anything else. Soem are quite subtle and difficult to pick up once in situ.

I tried to do this for a Tilux former after it was bedded in. It was real guesswork trying to pinpoint them. Had I done it before I trimmed and fitted it I could have just taken a line from each diagonal to the centre and I would have been spot on.

There is a thread on this somewhere....
