Question Adhesives (American Terms) ?

Was looking through a book, believe it's published in America written by M Byrne, and it refers to different adhesives as:

Organic Mastic.

Thinset Adhesive.

Polymer-modified Thinset Adhesive.



Can anyone tell me what these adhesives equate to in UK.
