there is nothing wrong with giving a customer a price when you look at the job concerned but, you can only do this with years of experience behind you, i always supply all materials and i do this by trying to get the customer to go to a supplier that gives me massive discounts, i then give the customer say 10-15% on the materials so im usually a few quid up before the job starts, like i mentioned earlier experience and competence are the key when supplying materials, 20 years in the trade for me so i think i have seen the lot
