I can't think of a reason why it would work on marble and not limestone. And I've tried to find out on the net too but can't find a reason. So I'd be getting the plasplugs out with the blade you know cuts marble and go for it.

My only guess is the slush that limestone might make in the water could be different to the slush marble makes, maybe the limestone can jam it if you let it get too slush around the motor? I don't know though. I'll keep looking on the net and in the mean time you may get a reply from some1 else too.
