Yes I agree, the 4 day courses are only for people who have never really picked up a tile in their life, and can only be taught the basics of tile fixing, and generally with only bog standrd ceramics.

I believe a lot of people think because their paying out a chunk like £350 for a 4 day course they will get far more for their money than really possible, and can lead to dissapointment in their course.

I was one for sure, but what courses could improve on is making sure what they do teach in the 4 day time span is actually correct meathods and information which mine fail on that too in areas.
As City Tiler said, this forum can teach you far more than any 4 day course could ever do "information wise" in just a few hours reading, and will always get the propper info whenever you need to ask a question regarding anything remotley to do with tiling.

A tiling course of any length can never make up for actual experiance on the job.
