Smile need help BAL adhesive

hi all, I've just started tiling my bathroom. Walls are a mixture of Aqua panels and pasterboards, I'm using Bal white star adhesive , tiles are 60 by 30 . I'm using a 10 mm notched trowel , so far its looking pretty good, but I'm a bit concerned after reading about thickness of Bal white star. some parts of adhesive thicker than the 5mm suggested on the forums,
is this going to be a problem , not sure if theres not any areas wheres theres solid beds of adhesive, ? also am i better off using a powder mix instead?
please help
guv
