Default Re: Sole Trader or Business

Hi McP77 yes Abbey Business is free for life including cash up to certain transaction limits, something like £3000 per month and deposits of 100 cheques per month. Only minor drawback is that it is internet banking and you have to deposit through Abbey ATMs for cash and cheque or by post for cheques only. Have a look at the site Abbey's free day to day business banking forever it gives you the details there. it should certainly be sufficient for a tiling business I would have thought. You also earn good interest with them. I have both of my business accounts with them, and no I am not an agent!!

Don't know if anyone has opened a new business account recently, real pain in the ass with the money laundering regs as they are now. Wouldn't want to be moving mine every 18 months or so unless I was really pi$$ed off the bank.

Worthwhile finding the bank that is right for you at the start and trying to stick with it.
