Default Tiling on soundproof underlay

Hi, putting down porcelain tiles on the floor of an apartment that has solid concrete floor but with a sound proof underlay stuck to it.
A tiler friend advises there is no need for flexible adhesive and to just use normal adhesive. He says the combination of heavy tiles and the underlay pose no risk as theres a solid floor and no risk of movement. Is he right or will I have cracked tiles in a few months?
