Well if i was doing the job i would probably remove the hard board then ply it (15mm ply to be on the safe side) ....But if the hardboard is solid and no movement or bowing then just put 12mm ply over it ...you have to make sure the floor is solid so deffo ply it either way mate... wait for a few more posts as this is my opinion and i've just started out myself
