A tanking system is a product that will put a barrier between the wall surface and any possible water contact. It comes in a tub with three parts, acrylic primer, thick paint and a polyester webbed tape. The tape is for all the joints. AA adhesives should be used in wet areas as well, as this type of adhesive will not break down with water contact . Bal and Webber produce them as well as other brands but these are the two I use, cost arround £50 trade price.

Big tip if you get any dried primers on the baths that you cannot get off as they tend to be blue or purple in colour, use some T cut that you use on your car, takes it off no problem without scratching |
