cush68,

Prime then plaster with rapid set. Then from bottom up use feather edge to get nice even wall. When pulling FE up the wall move it slightly from side to side, this will gave a better finish.

After you have plastered go back and check periodically to make sure the rapid set is not slumping/sagging , if so simply use your FE to flatten again.
