Re: taking of appliances | | Pricing isn't generally discussed on the open forum as prices from region to region can vary dramatically. Firstly are you a qualified plumber? When I quote for a bathroom I use the same plumber everytime, we have an agreed rate for the removal and re-installation of the suite. I just add this price plus a little extra onto the estimate.
I have got the ability to take out suites and remove rad's but when things start to go wrong you pay the price for taking a chance. My PL insurance doesn't include any plumbing so I would be liable for any water damage caused to a property. Also If I work on a heating system such as an unvented boiler I will be breaking the law as you need to be certificated (I also don't have a bloody clue how they work!)
If your tiling professionally do yourself a favour, make a few contacts and find a reliable plumber. They are always happy for the work as it earns them a few quid and only take 45 minutes at the end of a day.
On the flooring side I will supply the boarding at retail price with a very small mark up for the time/petrol/phone calls it's taken me to arrange and charge a couple of hours at whatever rate you work to. It shouldn't take long but again always remember to build in sundries like jigsaw baldes, screws, adhesive, screwdriver bits etc.
hope this helps a little |
