If he is fitting those tiles on the wall I would guess each one weighs around 18KG. Easy to check just weigh one! If I am right this means that they are around 60KG M2 that is too heavy for plaster and plasterboard and don't forget I have not taken into account the adhesive and grout. So I think he is going to need cement backer boards or similar


The Max weight for plaster is 20KG per M2 and plasterboard is 32KG M2
