hi adam,im not entirely sure,its just co incidence i called the canadian embassy today to ask about applying and they said a 3 month wait till you even get a letter acnowleding your application has been received,and a 4 year wait list at the moment there has been a massive surge of people applying,,no doubt due to the current financial situation in the uk. my brother is moving there in 3 weeks and fast tracked the whole process as he has an academic job in a university and they are sponsoring him to go over.i think for most people you have to go through the points system which may well be lengthy mate
