Re: Wetroom virgin seeks advice (GSOH) | | The Marmox board has low compressive strength and its not very strong so it will need under boarding for support and a membrane over its surface.
As it’s a wood floor the Durabase CI membrane will waterproof the former and act as an uncoupling membrane over the wood preventing any lateral cracking from expansion.
The walls if not already boarded I would leave as plaster board and tank with Durabase WP membrane which comes on a roll. If already boarded then the boards will need taping together and to the floor membrane so prevent water ingress. The first option being the cheapest and most secure as WP and CI work hand in hand.
You should have been supplied with a drain when you bought the former.
If you haven’t yet got the former etc email me and I will talk you through it or have a look at the site.
