I take your point, but I have seen some good examples of builder`s tiling.
So that is really no excuse for the poor job he did.
He was recommended to me, (had words with that person).
There was a fair bit of other work to do as well, and only a fairly small area of tiling.
I`ve done one bathroom myself, covered the basics, centred the tiles for an even cut either end, framed the window opening, trimmed edges, sockets fitted in cut-outs etc..... Took me yonks, but made a reasonable job of it, but......
I fully appreciate that tiling is a skilled trade and that`s why I didn`t do it myself this time, but when you employ someone to do a job you expect better than a poor DIY attempt.
Have a chat with him and see what utter bo***cks he tells you.
Got a Professional Tiler on the job now.
